i will forever be here
i shall not mourn the loss of forever
but rather
embrace the awakening
that came with its death
nothing lasts forever indeed
and all that we see passes
into nothingness
from being
the distance that divides us
is but an illusion
there are no empty spaces between
we filled it with heart-beats, and memories
sub-atomic particles like
mirror reflections of the places we’ve been
i shall not mourn the loss of forever
but rather
wake
undo the strings of this notion that binds us
set myself free from its fallacy
nothing remains fixed
when the only absolute
is that which shifts
in the shadows of a broken promise
i drowned in the darkness
of my suffering
until one morning i awoke to see...
the death of forever
as liberation
instead of tragedy.
